The General Statistics Office, 85,500 enterprises suspended operation, stopped operation to wait for dissolution procedures and complete dissolution procedures from January to August, 2021, up 24.2% year-on-year. Thus, nearly 10,700 enterprises left the market per month on average.The resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic has spread to almost provinces and cities in the country and taken a toll on operation of the business community that is posing challenges for survival and revival of the economy in the new normal state.

The Government, ministries and governmental agencies have developed many solutions, to help businesses respond to difficulties and restore and maintain their production and business activities such as: issuing Resolution 105/NQ-CP on supporting enterprises, cooperatives, and business households amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Resolution 116/NQ-CP on support policy for employees and employers affected by Covid-19 pandemic from the Unemployment Insurance Fund; Decree 52/2021/ND-CP on extending the deadline of Value Added Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax and land rent payment in 2021.

The Government is submitting to the National Assembly Standing Committee solutions for tax exemption and reduction worth VND 21.3 trillion. Along with that, the State Bank issued policies to support customers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic described in Circular 03/2021/TT-NHNN providing instructions for credit institutions and foreign branch banks on debt rescheduling, exemption or reduction of interest and fees, retention of debt category to assist borrowers affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

The Customs News organizes this webinar to have an overall look on polices on extending tax payment deadline, tax exemption and reduction; credit support packages of banks; impacts of those policies for enterprises and how to put these policies into practice, meet the beneficiaries.
