Viettlot contributed over VND 1,000 billion to the State budget in 2017

VCN- According to information from Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott), the company and other lottery companies contributed to promoting lottery operation nationwide and increased revenues to local budgets. The Southern lottery market achieved an explosive growth compared to the previous year, well ahead of the plan.

Thanks to the support by leading management agencies, agent system and customers, the main target in Lottery business operation in the Southern region in 2017 reached quite high compared to the plan and 2016.

According to the draft business report 2017 of Southern Lottery Council, the Lottery business operation in the Southern region had many advantages. Specifically, in 2017 the consumption sales of traditional lottery (excluding Vietlott) reached VND 70,556 billion, an increase of 5.81% compared to 2016, contributing VND 24,158 billion to the State budget, an increase of 8.10% and reaching 113.83% of the plan. The average consumption rate reached 76.79%. Payout expense and issuing expense were in accordance with provisions.

The growth in business operation of traditional lotteries has contributed to the stable development of lottery business operation in the Southern region, thereby, boosting social welfare and implementing well and responsibly within the locality.


Contributing to the explosive growth in lottery business operation in the Southern region also includes the Vietlott. With 3 lottery products such as Mega 6/45, Max 4D and Power 6/55 (issued on 1st August 2017) in the Southern region, Vietlott deployed business operation in 12 localities with nearly 2,000 terminals. Thanks to the support by leading management agencies, customers and Vietlott’s efforts with high responsibility and agent system, 2017 was a successful year with amazing business results.

Specifically, the taxable tickets in 2017 of Vietlott nationwide was VND 3,843 billion, of which the Southern region collected VND 2,872 billion, accounting for 74.73%. The amount estimated to pay to the State budget from all local budgets was VND 1,000 billion, of which from local budgets of 12 southern provinces and cities was VND 615 billion, including VND 98 billion of Personal Income Tax paid by winners.

With the achievement from lottery business operation in 2017, by 2018 Vietlott will expand its operation in the areas in accordance with the plan approved by the Ministry of Finance; add terminals under its plan and market requirements; deploy task of social welfare and perform duties with the State and localities.
