The ceremony.

Earlier, on 6th February 2017 (the lucky day of Dinh Dau Tet), 3 lucky customers who had ownership of the tickets coinciding with the Jackpot winning numbers - Mega 6/45 of 76th prize draw of 11th January 2017; 83rd prize draw of 29th January 2017; and 85th prize draw of 3rd February 2017 (08-17-31-32-33-39) came to the Branch of Vietlott in HCM City to claim a prize.

Through verification of attached documents in the system, Vietlott confirmed that the tickets were valid. The 3 Jackpot winning tickets, which were worth 126,821,490,000 vnd (not deductible from personal income tax under the provisions of the Law) were released at agents in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the request of the winners, in order to ensure confidentiality, Vietlott only disclosed the abbreviated name, general place of residence and pictures of the winners wearing a mask.

The winners are obliged to pay personal income tax. Accordingly, this tax amount shall be paid into the State budget of HCM City in accordance with the Law. After paying 10% personal income tax, the 3 winners received money through bank transfer. Specifically, Mr. L.T.H in HCM City received nearly 25.9 billion vnd; Mr. T.D.H in HCM City received nearly 68.3 billion vnd; and Mr. T.C.D in Long An province received more than 20 billion vnd.

To ensure the presence of stakeholders for the award, there were representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, Deloitte Vietnam, Berjaya, distribution agents, customers and representatives from press agencies.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Hoa, the Colonel - Head of Division 3, the Department of Security, Finance, Currency and Investment (A84 - the Ministry of Public Security) said: “Representatives of the Ministry of Public Security are members of the Council supervising the entire process of Vietlott prize dialing. Through 86 dialings of Mega 6/45 and 33 dialings of Max 4D, we announce that Vietlott’s dialings have operated openly, transparently and fully in accordance with legal regulations”.

"With the function of the Ministry of Public Security, we will monitor the operations of Vietlott’s dialings transparently and honestly", Mr. Hoa said.
