Vietlott awarded Jackpot to a customer from Hanoi

VCN- On the afternoon of February 15, 2017, the Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott) held an award ceremony Jackpot - Mega 6/45 for draw No. 88 for a customer from Hanoi.

Accordingly, the winner of Jackpot prize - Mega 6/45 for draw No. 88 is Mr. D.T.P from Hanoi. As per provisions, Mr. D.T.P must pay 3,104,435,200 of Personal Income Tax which was deducted at the award ceremony to the State budget.

This tax amount shall be paid into the Hanoi City’s budget in accordance with the Law. After paying tax, Mr. D.P.T received 27,949,916,800 vnd through bank transfer.

To ensure the witness of stakeholders for the award, Vietlott invited stakeholders including: the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Deloitte Vietnam, a Customs News correspondent and a number of journalists and correspondent of press agencies, and representatives of agents releasing Jackpot tickets.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Thanh Son, the representative of the Ministry of Finance said, the Ministry of Finance is a State management authority which directly manages Vietlott. Currently, the Ministry fully issued regulations on computerized lottery business; in particular there was the Decision on Establishing the Computerized Lottery Supervising Council.

“As the Chairman of the Supervising Council together the representatives of the Ministry of Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, we certified that Vietlott’s dialings are fully complied and correctly implement the process and provisions of the Law to ensure transparency and truthfulness. Vietlott’s award with participation of representatives of State management authorities, independent audit authorities and other individuals and organizations to witness shows publishing and transparency”. Mr. Son affirmed.

Sharing at the award ceremony, Mr. D.T.P said, he played computerized lottery from the day of this product was first operated in Ha Noi. “I am very happy to be the first winner of Jackpot prize - Mega 6/45 for 88th draw in Hanoi. I believe in Vietlott’s publicity and transparency and will continue to buy Vietlott’s lottery”. Mr. D.T.P said.

Previously, the customer took the Mega 6/45 ticket with the set of numbers: 02-06-10-13-20-28 coinciding with the result of Jackpot prize for 88th draw to the Branch of Vietlott in Hai Phong (The Hai Phong Branch takes charge of 3 markets: Hanoi City, Hai Phong City and Quang Ninh Province) to request to be awarded.

Through verification on the system and enclosed dossier, Vietlott certified that the customer’s ticket was legal and the value of the Jackpot prize was 31,054,352,000 vnd (without deduction of the Personal Income Tax as described) and was released in a Vietlott agent in Hanoi city

Thus, Vietlott awarded the Jackpot-Mega 6/45 prize for total of 15 winners at 14 draws with total value of prizes of 822,400,479,500 vnd .

All the equipments also meet the G7 standard and are strictly and thoroughly inspected to ensure the draw takes place safely, honestly and objectively and meets the standards of the World Lottery Association as well as Vietnam‘s State management authorities.

The draw process is supervised by the Computerized Lottery Supervising Council. The Central Office of Vietlott is the public place for the process of the draw as well as the result and prize of Mega6/45 lottery and other self-selecting lotteries.

The draw program for Mega 6/45 Lottery is broadcast live on Today TV from 18h00-18h30 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and live streamed on the Vietlott Portal (www.vietlott.vn).

Vietlott is currently deploying its business in 12 provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, An Giang, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Da Nang city, Hanoi city, Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province. In 2017, Vietlott will expand its business under approval of the Ministry of Finance, and then conduct business nationwide.
