The HCM City Customs Department discontinued procedures for imports and exports involving Hong Viet Production Trading Service Joint Stock Company in line with the local tax authorities’ sanction.

This company has been forced to pay taxes worth over VND3.9 billion since it missed the deadline by more than three months.

Similarly, the local tax department has suspended customs clearance for Montrose Consulting Co., Ltd for its late payment, and requested the company to pay taxes worth about VND250 million.

Over the past three months, HCM City Customs Department has issued decisions to suspend procedures for imports and exports among companies that have deliberately failed to pay their taxes by the deadline.

Many companies paid taxes after the local department enforced sanctions.
