According to the latest statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the export turnover to the Netherlands reached US$925 million in October.

The above results raised the export turnover in 10 months to US$8.34 billion. Although the export turnover decreased about 4% compared to the same period last year, the Netherlands still remains Vietnam's largest export market in the Eu.

The export turnover to the Netherlands exceeds the other markets by billions of dollars. The Dutch market alone accounted for about 18.6% of Vietnam's export turnover to the EU in the first 10 months.

Major export groups to the Netherlands include computers, electronic products and components at US$1.95 billion, down 8.3% year-on-year (accounting for 23.44% of export turnover to this market); machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts at US$ 1.6 billion, up 0.4% year-on-year (accounting for 19.66%); mobile phones and components at US$999.7 million, up 40.8% (accounting for nearly 12%).

Commodity groups with high growth include fruits and vegetables at US$127.6 million (up 39.1% over the same period last year); metals and product at US$40.5 million (up 181.2%); Coal at US$ 19.76 million (up 394%)...

The imports from the Netherlands reached US$554.56 million, a slight increase of about 1% over the same period last year.

Major imported items are machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts; medicine; chemical products... By the end of October, there have no products imported from the Netherlands reaching import turnover at US$100 million or more.
