As reported by the General Department of Taxation, on March 26, 2017, the Taxation has inspected 4,089 enterprises with the total additional revenues from inspection and examination of 3.206 billion vnd. Thereby paying to the State budget more than 2,007 billion vnd.
Of which, the number of inspected enterprises was 411 enterprises with total tax arrears, tax return and fines of more than 2.297 trillion vnd (tax arrears of 2.352 trillion vnd, tax return of 15 billion vnd and fine of 230 billion vnd). The amount paid the budget from the inspection was 100 billion vnd.
About the examination results, the number of examined enterprises was 3,678 enterprises. The total tax arrears, tax return and fine from the examination were 587.57 billion vnd (of which tax arrears of 397 billion vnd, tax return of 11 billion vnd and fine of 177 billion vnd). Thereby, paying to the budget 36 billion vnd, reaching 6.25% of additional tax revenues through examination at enterprises
Moreover, in the first three months of the year, the Tax authorities examined 69,278 tax declaration dossiers at the Tax authorities’ offices and adjusted the revenues to budget over 21 billion vnd. Through examination and review of tax declaration dossiers at Tax authorities, the Tax authorities discovered errors and fraud of taxpayers to increase the declared tax or impose the tax.
Remarkably, on the results of inspection and examination for enterprises engaged in associated transactions, in the first two months of 2017, the General Department of Taxation examined and inspected 13 enterprises and collected the tax arrears, tax return and fine of 135 billion vnd. Thereby, reducing the loss of 116 billion vnd and increased revenues of taxable income of 126 billion vnd.

Regarding the examination and inspection, after value added tax return, according to the reports of Tax Departments, in the first two months of 2017, the total decisions on the tax return which were examined and inspected after tax return were 925 decisions, equivalent returned tax amount of 3,347 billion vnd. Total tax return and fine were 42 billion vnd (equal to 8.2% compared to 2016). As a result of tax collection measures, taxpayers have paid to the State budget 21 billion vnd.
