Six Customs Departments reach an excess in the work of revenue collection

These were: Khanh Hoa Customs Department at 271.1%; Ha Nam Ninh Customs Department at 102.36%; Tay Ninh Customs Department at 176.55%; Binh Dinh Customs Department at 135.89%; Kien Giang Customs Department at 308.4%; and An Giang reached 238.22% of the assigned target.

The reason why those departments reach the goal was thanks to two main imported goods of petrol and automobiles. Additionally, some Customs Departments such as Binh Dinh, An Giang and Tay Ninh had solar projects that needed imported equipment and machines so the customs declarations increased. As a result, the amount of tax collected from those goods increased significantly.

Additionally, some Customs Departments nearly accomplished their tasks such as: Quang Ninh Customs Department reached 94.86% of the assigned target; Hai Phong Customs Department reached 84.86%; Long An Customs Department achieved 92.63%; and Quang Tri Customs Department achieved 87.92%.

Besides that, there were some Customs Department with gains in revenue collection, such as: HCM City Customs Department was at 62.08% of the assigned target; Ba Ria – Vung Tau Customs Department was 65.1%; and Dong Nai Customs Department was 58.66%.

Earlier, in order to balance the revenue collection between customs units in April 2019, a number of customs units with high revenue collection were assigned more collection targets by General Department of Vietnam Customs.

In addition, the General Department of Customs also requested the provincial customs departments to monitor and closely follow the revenue sources to assign more realistic targets to the units. At the same time, adjusting appropriately with the collection situation and thoroughly implementing solutions of tax recovery and handling of tax debts.
