Over 160,000 tons of imports and exports cleared across checkpoints in Mong Cai

VCN - According to Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board, from January 1 to February 20, the quantity of imports and exports cleared across Bac Luan 2 Bridge Border Gate and Border Crossing Km3+4 Hai Yen, Mong Cai saw a year-on-year increase of 60.6% to 160,064 tons.

Specifically, 3,508 vehicles carrying 56,753 tons of imports and exports were cleared at Bac Luan 2 Bridge Border Gate, including 47,949 tons of imports and 8,804 tons of exports. An average of 1,494 tons of imports and exports are cleared per day.

6,390 vehicles carrying 94,254 tons of imports and exports are cleared at Border Crossing Km3+4 Hai Yen, up 173% compared with the same period in 2021. An average of 2,142 tons of imports and exports are cleared per day.

Exports are mainly fruits, tapioca starch, frozen seafood, dried seeds, shrimp, crabs, fish. Imports are general goods, fabrics and garments.

The optimization of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic and the adjustment of border-gate customs clearance implemented from January 8 has facilitated the customs clearance.

Accordingly, the customs clearance at Bac Luan 2 Bridge and Border Crossing Km3+4 Hai Yen has abolished the regulations on decentralization of management; abolished the risk zoning of the Covid-19 pandemic; and stopped decentralization of management of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abolish the regulation on disinfecting the vehicles carrying goods imported from China at the delivery and receipt areas; abolish the requirement for RT-PCR testing, disinfection and 30 minutes of waiting at the borderline for vehicles carrying dry and general goods; abolish the requirement for RT-PCR testing, disinfection for each package of cold chain goods, the transportation of goods to a centralized management and supervision warehouse is not required.

Remove regulations on transit drivers and closed management regulations for all staff working at border gates, and border markets, and requirements for daily RT-PCR tests.
