There was also no araising import – export turnover of rice through the main border gate, side gates or open paths in the area in January.

On February 10, through an exchange with a reporter, leaders of Ta Lung Customs Branch and Tra Linh Customs Branch – two main border gates having import – export activities at Cao Bang said that normally after Tet holiday, import – export activities at the area are quiet. In particular, in 2020, due to corona virus, the two main areas do not have import – export activities since Tet holiday 2020 until now.

In 2019, total export turnover at Cao Bang Customs Department was $787.9 million, increasing by 14 percent over the previous year. Of that, exports were $672.4 million, up by 21 percent; imports hit $115.5 million, down by 17 percent.

On supervision of temporary import and re-export, the bonded warehouse has opened declaration at other customs and transferred to Cao Bang Customs Department area for supervising goods with total turnover of more than $1.612 billion, down 26 percent compared to 2018.
