On 28/8, the Anti-Drug Enforcement Team – HCM City Customs Department in coordination with the HCM City Express Customs Branch, Unit 6 – Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department - General Department of Vietnam Customs, C47- The Ministry of Public Security inspected two parcels sent by post using the international money transfer service of Vietnam Post Corporation. They seized over 1.8 kg of ecstasy.
According to Mr. Huynh Nam, head of the Anti-Drug Enforcement Team – HCM City Customs Department, this ecstasy was divided into small packages, wrapped in black nylon, hidden in the intestines of the induction hob.
The rest was spread and hidden in the crease of a folding bag. Both parcels were sent in the form of gifts through the post office providing international money transfer service of Vietnam Post Corporation.

Earlier, by implementing the second phase of the specialized project E318, on 27/8, the working group examined four parcels sent by express service and found inside the packages a total of 5.72 kg ecstasy.
The amount of ecstasy was stuck on two sides of double sided tape, spread in a thin layer, placed in the middle layer of the carton. For the electronic speakers, the subjects used tape wrapped around in many layers of drug packs, stuffed in the loudspeaker cone and re-inserted to appear normal.

Thus, after 2 days of inspecting six parcels of gifts, the Customs authorities seized 7.544 kg of synthetic drugs. The total amount of ecstasy discovered and seized in the specialized E318 project by the HCM City Customs Department from June 2018 to now, is more than 20 kg.
