From the beginning of the year, the General Department of Taxation continued to closely direct the synchronous implementation of six main groups of administrative reforms: institutional reform; administrative reform; Reform of the State administrative apparatus; Building and improving the quality of cadres and civil servants; public financial reform and administration modernization. According to the summary report of the Tax agency, by the end of March 17, 2007, the online tax declaration system was deployed in 63 of 63 provinces and cities with 575,208 participating enterprises. These enterprises accounted for 99.83% of enterprises in operation in the country. Also, there were over 37.8 million electronic tax declaration dossiers.

Basing on cooperating with 43 commercial banks to complete the connection to deploy electronic tax payment services and propagate and encourage enterprises to participate in this service, there were 565,406 of 576,203 enterprises in operation registering to use electronic tax payment service with the Tax agency (reaching 98%).

The number of enterprises which successfully registered the service with banks was 564,223 enterprises. This number accounted for nearly 98% with 834,005 electronic tax payment transactions and the paid amount of 115.230 billion vnd to the State budget.

In addition, through the pilot implementation in the Hanoi Department of Taxation and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation, the Tax agencies supported more than 200 enterprises in electronic registration and validated e-invoicing, thereby 3,550,916 invoices with tax amount of 1,648 billion vnd were verified.

Notably, implementing the Government's Resolution 36a / NQ-CP on e-Government, in the first three months, the General Department of Taxation has continued to provide and support the use of 10 online public services at levels 3 and 4, including: Taxpayer Information Website, Tax Policy Questionnaire Website, Online personal income tax settlement submission Service, Invoice Lookup Service and Online Tax Declaration Dossier Support Service, Online Declaration Support Service on Invoice Report; Online Declaration Support Service on fee and charge receipts; Online tax payment Service; and Registration of personal tax code and dependent person’s tax code through the payment agencies.
