More than 1,000 tonnes of fertiliser imported from China in the first day of March

On March 1st, Lao Cai Customs Branch (Lao Cai Customs Department) implemented clearance procedure for goods with total turnover of $1,387 million.
Of that, import turnover reached $441,768 thousand, while export turnover reached $745,011 thousand.
Exported products are mainly dragon fruits, watermelons and bananas with total weight of more than 2,000 tonnes.
Dragon fruit was the item with the largest amount exported at Customs Branch with 964 tonnes; followed by bananas with 420 tonnes and 281 tonnes of watermelons.
Meanwhile, the two main imported items were agricultural products (798 tonnes) and fertiliser (638 tonnes).
At Lao Cai International Railway Station Customs Branch (Lao Cai Customs Department), the total amount of exported and transited goods was more than 1,100 tonnes and turnover was $68,255. Re-exported iron ore was 475 tonnes with turnover was over $29.5 thousand and sulfur (in transit) was 651 tonnes with turnover was more than $38.7 thousand.
For imported goods, on the first day of March, there were nearly 1,000 tonnes of fertiliser (SA and NPK) cleared with total turnover of more than $183 thousand at Lao Cai International Railway Station Customs Branch.
Thus, only in the first day of March, 1,618 tonnes of fertiliser was imported from China in the Lao Cao area.
