In a year, warehouses, yards and locations must upgrade software to meet regulations

This is a mandatory point stipulated in Decree 67/2020/NĐ-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles in Decree 68/2016/NĐ-CP regulating conditions for duty-free businesses, warehouses, sites for customs clearance, customs inspection and supervision. It was issued recently by the Government and will take effective from August 10, 2020.
Specifically, according to the provisions of Article 3 of Decree 67/2020/ND-CP, warehouses and sites that were recognised before the effective date of this Decree but did not meet the software conditions in this Decree, enterprises shall upgrade their software to meet the conditions as specified in this Decree within a year from the effective date.
In Decree 67/2020/ND-CP amending and supplementing the regulations on conditions for duty-free businesses; conditions for recognition of bonded warehouses; dossiers for recognition of container freight stations; conditions for recognition of sites for carrying out customs procedures at ports of import-export goods established inland; conditions for recognition of place of gathering, inspection and supervision of exported and imported goods; places of gathering, inspecting and supervising export and import goods in the border areas; places of gathering, inspecting and supervising for postal and express delivery goods. In particular, one of the mandatory conditions is having software to meet the requirements of managing online data storage and export data for customs authorities to manage under the Automated Cargo Management and Supervision System.
