According to the General Department of Customs, by the end of September, the country imported 4,040 CBU cars from China, worth more than US$162.5 million.

Although the above number is not comparable with the two largest markets, Thailand and Indonesia, CBU cars imported from China were also much more than traditional markets of Vietnam such as South Korea, Japan, and the US.

Notably, compared to the same period in 2018, the volume of CBU cars imported from China had rapid growth.

Specifically, import volume was 5.3 times higher, while the turnover was 8.6 times higher (the same period, it was only 761 cars worth $18.9 million).
