HCMC Taxation Department: Inspect over 7,200 enterprises
According to the HCMC Taxation Department, implementing the inspection and examination plan 2017, the inspection results in the first 5 months of 2017 at 7,230 enterprises with tax arrears and fines are 1,753.62 billion vnd, rise by 37.19% over the same period of 2016; Decrease in VAT deduction of 175.5 billion vnd, reduce loss by 5,041.72 billion vnd.
In that, inspection at tax office for 58,316 tax declaration dossiers, increase by 44% over the same period last year. The additional declaration tax amount is 15.6 billion vnd, reduce by 18% over the same period; Implemented 6,710 inspections at enterprises, reaching 38% of the plan in 2017, increase by 3% over the same period last year. The amount of tax arrears, fines and retrievals are 662.1 billion vnd, rise by 9% over the same period of 2016, the fixed tax amount is 3.9 billion vnd, reduced in value added tax deduction is 134.6 billion vnd, decrease loss is 2,222.7 billion vnd.
Furthermore, in the first five months of 2017, the HCMC Tax Department inspected 520 dossiers, decrease by 18% over the same period, tax arrears and fines of 1,091.52 billion vnd, achieving 51.3%, decrease in a deduction by 4,090 billion vnd, decrease loss is 2,819.02 billion vnd.
According to the HCMC Taxation Department, in the upcoming time, the unit will focus on the seminar and analyze the dossiers with signs of high risk, corporations with turnover and a large amount of State budget payment.
At the same time, to intensify the examination and inspection of enterprises in branches and domains with large revenues, potential risks of tax evasion or high tax fraud such as multi-level sale enterprises, petrol, pharmaceutical, tax refund; Affiliated enterprises, enterprises that have signs of transfer pricing; Businesses with suspicious transactions; Enterprises have not inspected and checked for many years; Enterprises have preferential tax exemption and reduction, etc.
