HCMC enterprises own tax debt of more than VND27,000 billion

According to HCMC tax department, at the end of February 2020, total tax debt at the unit was VND27,417 billion compared to December 31, 2019, up by 12.4%, equivalent to VND3,026 billion.
In February, 2020, the tax agency issued 1,098,848 notices of tax debts to taxpayers. From the beginning of 2020,HCMC tax department issued 2,193,247 notices.
In addition, in February, HCMC tax department also issued 4,389 enforcement decisions with a tax debt amount of VND1,649 billion. In the first two months of this year, this department issued 5,969 enforcement decisions with tax debt amount of VND2,079 billion.

On December 21, 2019 total tax debt revenue by HCMC tax department was VND436.7 billion. In the first two months, the department collected VND1,213.6 billion, or 42.38% of the plan of the first quarter and 15.89% of the annual plan in 2020.
