HCM City"s streets inundated by downpours
With flooding causing several motorbikes to breakdown, many residents are forced to walk.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, many residents still try to go about their daily lives
A total of 40 locations across HCM City are seriously submerged.

At the crossroads between Bach Dang and Dinh Bo Linh streets in Binh Thanh district, many vehicles battle through the floodwater.
One motorist is killed as a result of a falling tree.

During the evening of November 25, prolonged downpours in HCM City caused to fear the risk of flooding in their homes.

Many houses in HCM City were severely affected by rapidly rising floodwater. Residents were forced to endure a sleepless night in order to protect their belongings.

This is the first time that HCM City has experienced a prolonged period of torrential rain.
A 2,500-square meter wood workshop located in district 12 was also subjugated by severe flooding, causing significant losses for the business.
In order to ensure the safety of residents, power was cut off in some areas.
The owner of the wood workshop said that the flooding has caused billions of Vietnamese dong worth of damage to several machines.

Due to the further developments of typhoon Usagi, on the morning of November 26, several localities across the south-east allowed students to stay home from school. Around 1.7 million students in HCM City were also permitted to stay at home to avoid the typhoon
