According to Mr. Le Duy Minh, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, on February 7, 2020, the Minister of Finance issued Decision No. 170/QD-BTC on the consolidation of tax branches under the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department is taking steps to implement the decision of completion before March 2, 2020.
Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department said it is expected to be announced on February 26, 2020 and start operation on March 2, 2020. Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department proposed District Party Committee and People's Committee of District 7; District Party Committee of People's Committee of Nha Be District to work closely with Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, tax branches related to the consolidation in tax administration, management of state revenues, budget accounting, reporting, settlement of revenues in the area.
Along with that, the units receiving and resolving administrative procedures for people, enterprises and organizations in the area should follow the "single window" mechanism in accordance with the provisions of law; leadership of regional tax department; the organization of the Party, unions, so that the implementation of the consolidation can ensure progress and perform the assigned political tasks.
After the first regional tax branch has been put into operation, by the end of this year, the HCM City Tax Department will take steps to consolidate the District 12 Tax Branch and the Hoc Mon District Tax Branch.
