Groups of “billion USD” goods for import – export in 2018

In the field of export, the country has three commodities groups with export turnover of $US 1 billion or more, with increases in 2 more groups over the same period in 2017.
Two new groups that reached the "billion USD" figure are: textile and garment reaching nearly $US 1.108 billion; computers, electronic products and components with a value of $US 1.071 billion.
The remaining group of "billions USD" are phones and components in the top position with a turnover of $US 2.11 billion.
On the import field, two imported commodity groups of "billion dollars" were computers, electronic products and components that achieved $US 1.866 billion dollars; Machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts reached $US 1.382 billion. With the strong growth of computer products, the leading position in import activities has reversed between two commodity groups.
Notably, computers, electronic products and components all contributed to the "billion dollar" groups in both exports and imports.
With the turnover of $US 7.537 billion, the group of "billion dollars" accounted for 40% of the total value of import and export turnover in the first half of the year.
