Previously, the plan on transferring the head office of Gia Thuy Customs Branch (at ICD Gia Lam) to the Hateco centralised inspection point of the Hateco Logistics Joint Stock Company(located at Sai Dong B Industrial Park, Long Bien, Hanoi) was approved by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Hanoi Customs Department worked with Hateco Logistics Joint Stock Company to agree the plan on arrangement of working space, installation of information technology network to ensure working conditions of Gia Thuy Customs Branch. According to the plan, the branch’s headquarters will be handed over in the fourth quarter of 2019.

However, ICD Gia Lam did not meet the operation requirements according to the Government’s Decree 68/2016/ND-CP, and the People's Committee of Long Bien District announced that it will recover the land lot that is currently the headquarters of Gia Thuy Customs Branch. Therefore, while waiting for the completion of construction and officially deploying to work at the new headquarters, Hateco Logistics plans to temporarily arrange a working space for the branch.

Ha Noi Customs Department has proposed the General Department of Vietnam Customs to approve the plan on transferring headquarters of Gia Thuy Customs Branch to Hateco centralised inspection point. While waiting for the decision of the General Department of Vietnam Customs to terminate the operation of the customs check point at ICD Gia Lam, Gia Thuy Customs Branch still arranges a unit to carry out customs procedures in this point.

In 2018, the General Department of Vietnam Customs issued Decision 838/ QD-TCHQ to recognise the inspection point for import and goods at Sai Dong B Industrial Park, Long Bien District, Hanoiof Hateco Logistics Joint Stock Company. Hanoi Customs Department decided to arrange officers of Gia Thuy Customs Branch to conduct a physical inspection at this point for shipments that are clarified into the red channel.

In addition, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has provided Ha Noi Customs Department a mobile container scanner for screening at Hateco centralised inspection point.

The Hateco centralised inspection point has met the demand on arrangement of units processing customs procedures and conducting physical inspection for import and export goods of enterprises in the area.
