Find owner of containers of clay and steel powder backlogged at Cat Lai port

VCN – Cai Mep port Customs Branch announced it plans to find the owner of 53 containers of imported goods backlogged at Cai Mep port.

According to Cai Mep port Customs Branch, tens of containers of backlogged goods which arrived at SSIT port (SP-SSA International Container Services Joint Venture Company) exceeded the deadline for implementing customs procedures (more than 90 days).

The shipping line and port enterprise sent an announcement but no one came to receive the goods.

According to Customs authorities, among the 53 containers, there are 29 containers of clay and 17 containers of steel powder. Those containers were imported from Youbang Hengyu Environment Solution Company (Hong Kong) and the recipient was Skyline Forwarding Firm Company Limited located in Ward 10, Go Vap District, HCM City.

Cai Mep port Customs Branch is handling aggressively those shipments to quickly clear the ground for port enterprises. The Customs branch has notified individuals and organisations related to this shipment to implement procedures.

The time of receipt of goods is 60 days from the date of issuing first notice. If the deadline is missed and no one comes to receive, Cai Mep port Customs Branch will handle the case in accordance with Circular No. 203/2014/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance.
