Exports of four localities achieve tens of billions of USD

VCN - By the end of April, there are four localities and cities reaching an export turnover of US$10 billion or more, according to the statistics of General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Four localities include Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen and Binh Duong.

Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of cities and provinces reaching tens of billion USD has increased by two localities which are Binh Duong and Thai Nguyen.

By the end of April, the export turnover of Thai Nguyen achieved US$ 10.96 billion, growing 17.87% (equivalent to an increase of US$1.66 billion) compared to the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, the turnover of Binh Duong reached US$10.7 billion, increasing 12.92% (equal to a growth of US$1.2 billion) compared to the same period in 2023.

In terms of turnover, HCM City remains the leading province in exports with US$14.78 billion, rising 15.92% (equivalent to a jump of more than US$2 billion) compared to the same period in 2023.

Although Bac Ninh remains a second place in the country in terms of exports, this province is the only locality among four cities of tens of billions of USD that witnessed a drop in turnover compared to the previous year.

In the past four months, the exports of Bac Ninh only reached US$11.22 billion, a decrease of nearly US$700 million compared to the same period in 2023.

Besides the above four localities, there are many cities and localities that achieve export turnover of tens of billion USD like Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Dong Nai,…

By the end of April, the total export turnover of the whole country reached US$123.98 billion, rising 15.11% (equal to a growth of US$16.26 billion) compared to the period last year.
