VCN - Sharing the same success of import and export activities in general, Vietnam's export turnover in the first six months of the year grew by double digits.

The latest preliminary statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs showed that the total import-export turnover of Vietnam's goods from June 16 to 30 reached US$33.36 billion, increasing by 5.4% (equivalent to an increase of US$1.72 billion) compared to the results in the first half of June 2022.
The results achieved in the second half of June brought the country's total import-export turnover in the first six months of 2022 to US$371.32 billion, rising by 16.4% (equivalent to US$52.33 billion) compared to the same period in 2021.
Accordingly, foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises reached US$255.82 billion, increasing by 16% (US$35.26 billion); import-export of domestic enterprises was nearly US$115.5 billion, increasing by 17.3% (equivalent to US$17.07 billion) over the same period last year.
The trade balance of goods witnessed a surplus of US$2.15 billion. Thus, in general, there was a surplus of US$743 million in the first six months.
Notably, exports reached nearly US$17.76 billion, growing by 17.5% (equivalent to US$2.65 billion) compared to the first half of June.
Groups of goods with strong growth such as computers, electronic products and components increased by US$941 million, equivalent to an increase of 44.2%; phones and components increased by US$699 million, equivalent to an increase of 37.9%; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts increased by US$216 million, equivalent to an increase of 11.4%; textile and garment increased by US$196 million, equivalent to an increase of 11.6%; footwear of all kinds increased by US$156 million, equivalent to an increase of 14.1%.
In general, in the first six months of the year, Vietnam's exports reached US$186.03 billion, rising by 17.3%, equivalent to an increase of US$27.46 billion over the same period in 2021.
Particularly, FDI enterprises reached US$135.9 billion, growing by 16.4% (equivalent to US$19.15 billion) compared to the same period last year, accounting for 73.1% of the total export turnover of the country.
