Export turnover during 7 days of Tet holiday reached nearly $US 400 million

VCN - According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, in 7 days of Tet holiday 2017, on a national scale, 98 Customs Branches and equivalents handled import-export activities with a total of 6,200 declarations. Also, in the holidays, there were 681 enterprises across the country which ran export-import operations, a slight increase of 1.5% compared to the previous Tet holidays.

The General Department of Customs reported the total export turnover reached $US 395 million in the last 7 days of Tet, including export turnover of $US 161 million and import turnover of $US 234 million.

Total export turnover during Tet reached $US 161 million, concentrated in three main commodity groups: computers, phones & accessories (including computers, electronic products & components; phone & components) with $US 101 million, machines, equipment and spare parts reached $US 19.8 million, iron and steel reached $US 21.5 million.

The total import turnover reached $US 234 million during Tet, in three main commodity groups: computers, phones & accessories $US 148 million; machines, equipment and spare parts $US 26,6 million, and all type of petroleum reached $US 17.9 million.
