Enterprises have proactively finalized tax report soon

VCN –March every year is the peak season for the tax finalization report for individual and enterprises. This year, tax authorities and enterprises have specific and careful plans for implementing the tax finalization report to be handled quickly and conveniently. It is a different strategy from other years when the overload situation occurs occasionally on the last day of the tax settlement period.

In the early days of March, in order to prepare for tax settlement, many provinces have organized training session for enterprises in the area. Through the training sessions, tax authorities have been able to inform the business community and taxpayers about the new points which have been adjusted in the policies of corporation income tax (CIT) and personal income tax (PIT). From that, enterprises and taxpayers should be able to understand and implement tax settlement timely, smoothly and avoid data line congestion, which is time consuming for businesses and taxpayers.

Hanoi Tax Department is one of the units that has prepared for tax settlement quite thoughtful. From 9/3 to 16/3, Hanoi Taxation Department conducted about 10 free training courses for 3,000 businesses in the province. The training program focused on some main contents such as: CIT, PIT, and invoices. In addition, some notices were given for when taxpayers implement tax settlement in 2017 and a summary of some typical problems and solutions, as well as statistics and guides for taxpayers by the tax authority.

The Hanoi Tax Department also applies information technology to solve administrative procedures for taxpayers, facilitates taxpayers to implement tax policies and reduce risks when finalizing corporation income tax and personal income tax in 2017.

According to Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, Head of the Propaganda and Training Division, Hanoi Tax Department, to improve the propaganda and support taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations, right from the beginning of 2018, Hanoi Tax Department has implemented consistent solutions from Department offices to 30 Taxation branches in the districts and towns in the area. This will help taxpayers to take the initiative, receive information, and to quickly implement tax settlement.

Through the research at some training points, the majority of enterprises have prepared quite carefully for the tax settlement in 2017. Mrs. Tran Thi Oanh, representative of Hanoi Construction Company No.1 said that this year, enterprises will implement PIT tax settlement for nearly 600 workers. Previously, the regulation only implemented tax settlement for labor contracts which have been working for over 3 months. According to the new regulations, in 2018 to finalize tax report for 2017, includes those with monthly labor contracts that must also apply for PIT. Therefore, with a large volume of records, companies have to plan clearly to implement the tax settlement procedures. Specifically, on 15/3 enterprises will have implemented tax settlement.

Moreover, many companies asserted that by studying new procedures, guidelines and updates will help businesses be more active. If there are mistakes, enterprises will have time to correct as well helping to reduce the pressure on tax authorities.

Since early March, the tax departments have organized a series of training sessions for businesses in the area. At the same time, the tax authorities have been focusing on supporting tax policy; tax declaration and application software, project planning, and personnel allocation in order to receive financial reports and tax finalization report for 2017, avoiding the congestion and time wasting for taxpayers.

The tax authorities recommend the organizations and individuals submitting their PIT records in writing should submit their dossiers soon to avoid piling up the dossiers on the final days of the PIT submission deadline. The deadline for submitting PIT applications for 2017 is 31/3/2018. In cases where individuals with overpaid tax request a tax refund or tax deduction in the following period should submit dossiers after 31/3/2018.
