Dong Nai Customs detected two cases of origin fraud

Through the physical inspection of imported rubber shipments which was declared on May 25, 2022 of CDN Company, Đồng Nai Port Customs Branch discovered that the goods in the bonded warehouse were of the wrong origin. According to the enterprise's declaration, the goods originated from North Korea, but the actual inspection shows that the origin was South Korea.
Through reviewing the previous customs import declaration, Đồng Nai Port Customs Branch determined that this company had imported goods in the customs declaration dated May 15, 2022 which was also declared the wrong origin.
Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company misrepresented the origin of goods brought into the bonded warehouse in two customs declarations dated May 25 and May 15, 2022. The value of infringing goods in these two customs declarations is more than 7 billion VND.
Dong Nai Port Customs Branch has been made a violation report about making wrong declarations about the origin of goods and is now under the sanction of administrative violations for about 8.25 million VNĐ.
Previously, Dong Nai Port Customs Branch also discovered another case of violation of origin of goods in the import declaration dated April 20, 2022.
T.I declared sofa upholstery fabric, 100% new material for production originating from North Korea. However, the actual inspection of goods showed that the shipment originated from South Korea.
