Many digital platforms are developed

To accelerate business recovery through digital transformation, many digital platforms have been built. Specifically, the program to support small and medium enterprises in digital transformation (SMEdx) implemented by the Ministry of Information and Communications has recorded an increasing number of businesses approaching each month.

By the end of September 2022, the SMEdx program has reached 490,000 small and medium enterprises, achieving an average growth rate of 20% per month. Thanks to a variety of approaches, more than 62,000 small and medium-sized businesses have chosen to use the platform in the SMEdx program, an average increase of 15% per month.

To support small and medium-sized businesses in implementing effective digital transformation, the SMEdx program is committed to providing 3-6 months free of charge to small and medium-sized businesses with under 50 people. Small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to use the digital platform, without investment and operation, but only need to pay according to a monthly "subscription" which is both simple and secure.

Many large enterprises also build a digital platform to support small and medium enterprises. Recently, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) cooperated to put into operation the SMEasy digital platform to support small and medium enterprises. SMEasy will make the management and business of enterprises convenient. SMEasy is built in the direction of personalizing the user experience, specifically for women-owned small and medium-sized businesses.

Le Ngoc Lam, General Director of BIDV, hopes that the SMEasy digital platform will contribute to increasing the internal strength and financial health of small and medium-sized enterprises, especially during the current economic recovery period.

Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications has honored 52 excellent digital technology platform solutions designed, created and manufactured in Vietnam, thereby, contributing to promoting the digital government, digital economy and digital society.

For example, cloud computing platform FPT Cloud of FPT Smart Cloud Company; state financial management platform - MISA FinGov, MISA AMIS consolidated corporate governance platform of MISA Joint Stock Company; Nextfarm smart agricultural digital transformation ecosystem of NextVision Joint Stock Company.

Convenience for trade

Commenting on the application of digital platforms in management and business, many businesses believe that not only help businesses deploy business smoothly and quickly, but also can monitor and promptly handle development work online, at the same time help businesses in finding partners, domestic and foreign, and helping activities to promote exports.

In particular, at present, the application of digital platforms also helps to increase brand value for businesses. Van Duc Quang, representative of Hanel Plastics Joint Stock Company (Hanel Plastics JSC), said that promoting the corporate brand value on digital platforms will be an opportunity for businesses to connect with domestic and international partners.

As a result, the products of this enterprise are now a reliable partner of many large corporations investing in Vietnam such as Panasonic, Canon, Samsung, Ariston, Brother.

From the perspective of the management agency, Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Trade, Investment and Promotion Center (HPA), said that businesses now have to change the way they think and do things and thinking must be bold, change business strategies to catch up with the trend with the cross-border e-commerce model, especially for export businesses.

Therefore, small and medium enterprises need to improve their competitiveness and apply digital technology solutions when participating in trading activities.

In addition, in order to continue to improve access to the digital platform, the Ministry of Information and Communications has proposed ministries, branches and localities set a digital transformation roadmap for small and medium-sized enterprises, ensuring the rate of digital transformation will reach over 50% by 2025.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Information and Communications will select excellent Vietnamese digital platforms to introduce to businesses with the government's own policies. The book is free to try for the first time.
