Customs strengthen anti-smuggling of mazut oil in the northern border

Specifically, the GDVC’s leader directed Customs departments to strictly and effectively deploy plans, documents and directives of the Government, Ministry of Finance, and the GDVC on inspection and control for petroleum products, especially Plan 410/KH-BCD389 dated 14th June 2107 of the National Steering Committee 389; Plan 870/KH-BTC dated 24th July of the the Ministry of Finance, Plan 200/KH-TCHQ dated 29th June 2017 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Customs departments need to synchronously apply measures of Customs inspection and control, promote information collection, closely grasp and control the situation in area, identify key areas and organize forces to promptly detect, prevent and seize cases of smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transportation of mazut oil across border gates and strictly handle in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, closely chairing and coordinating with competent agencies such as Police, Border Guard, Market Management in the area to exchange and supply information, patrol, control promptly and effectively to prevent and fight against smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transportation of mazut oil across in the area.

In addition, on the basis of cooperation agreements between the Vietnam Customs and China Customs, the general action plans of Customs Departments such as Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Lao Cai with Kunming Customs (China) to take the initiative in enhancing the coordination, exchange, providing and sharing of information between the two parties on the smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across border gates, including mazut oil.
