The General Department of Customs said the trafficking and illegal cross-border transportation of narcotics and precursors are still very complicated and potentially dangerous, especially at land border gates, air and sea.

The subjects took advantage of this form to illegally transport and buy and sell narcotics across the border to Vietnam to transit to other countries for consumption.

The tricks to hide drugs are also very sophisticated and diverse such as the drug being disguised in candy packages, supplementary foods, dog and cat food and cosmetics.
