Control goods violate fraud of origin and e-commerce

Many methods and tricks
According to the General Department of Market Management, counterfeit goods are found in grocery stores, traditional markets, urban sidewalks and even blend into high-end supermarkets in urban areas.
To ignore the control of management authorities, subjects sold goods online and stored goods in high-class apartment buildings that strictly control the entry and exit.
Not only that, the types of goods labeled as famous brands are at risk of being counterfeited in the form of copying designs, fake geographical indications and infringing trademarks such as Adidas, Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.
In particular, focusing more on fashion items such as clothes, shoes, wallet bags, belts and watches.
Besides that, counterfeit goods are also manufactured by processing incomplete products in one place, then outsourcing to another place to assemble and pack finished products. After receiving new orders are labeled that are fake, the origin of goods, they would be delivered to customers. They produce goods when getting orders, avoiding a situation of storing goods and waiting for consumption.
The problem of counterfeit goods seriously impacts the health of consumers, especially in the food sector such as food, beverages and medicines. Besides the problem of counterfeit goods and tricks of trade fraud are also common.
The subjects using tricks to turn around invoices and vouchers and buy and sell invoices to legalise smuggled goods.
In addition, there has been cheating in declaring prices on sales invoices, not issuing invoices to reduce payable value added tax; false declaration of name, quantity, quality, brand name, purpose of use and forging certificate of origin (C/O) for exported or imported goods.
In addition, violations of production and sale of products without announced standards or written on the labels of high quality standard goods, but in fact, the quality of the goods is very low.
Control fraudulent origin of goods
At the meeting, General Director of Market Management Tran Huu Linh emphasised that, in 2021, evaluating ofive years of implementation of the Ordinance on Market Management, the Market management force would evaluate the achieved results and make recommendations, solve problems, vision orientation, functions and tasks of the Market Management force.
“Through market control, fraud activities on origin of goods emerged, trade fraud was widespread and difficult to cope with. Goods infringing the label was also a great challenge for the market management force,” Linh said.
Also according to Linh, in the coming time, the market management force would also focus on fighting smuggling and trade fraud through e-commerce.
To facilitate coordination with the competent forces, the Market Management force will establish a specialised force in e-commerce and effectively implement the programmes and plans of the Government and National Steering Committee 389.
On the other hand, promoting coordination with the forces of Customs, Border Defence, Police, as well as disseminate to people and enterprises to prevent and publicise the acts of producing and trading counterfeit and contraband goods.
