Bac Ninh Customs is leading export turnover of the whole country

Specifically, according to the ranking of export turnover in 2017, at the provincial Customs department it showed that some provincial customs departments achieved an increase in export turnover in 2017 compared to the previous year. Bac Ninh has the highest turnover in the country with over $US 111.42 billion, increased by 37.9%; Ho Chi Minh City reached $US 96 billion, rising by 13.3%; Hai Phong reached $US 47.6 billion, increased by 13.3%; Binh Duong reached $US 34.4 billion, which rose by 17.4%; Dong Nai reached $US 28 billion, increased by 12%; Hanoi reached $US 27.17 billion, and rose by 19%.
According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in 2017, the total import and export value of goods reached $US 425.12 billion, an increase of 21% over 2016, in that total export value reached $US 214.01 billion, increased by 21.2% and total import value was $US 211.1 billion, which rose by 20.8%.
Moreover, the trade balance of Vietnam’s goods in 2017 had a surplus of $US 2.91 billion, which is much higher by $US 1.12 billion than the number of trade surpluses in 2016 (nearly $US 1.78 billion). The trade surplus of FDI enterprises reached $US 25.81 billion; meanwhile, the domestic businesses increased the trade deficit to $US 22.91 billion.
On 19/12/2017, the General Department of Vietnam Customs held a ceremony to record the import-export of Vietnam reaching the milestone of $US 400 billion. Thus, from the year Vietnam officially joined the WTO up to now (after 10 years), the total export turnover has increased four times.
