In order to facilitate businesses in carrying out Customs clearance for the shipment, in the beginning, January 2018, currently, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department has collaborated with relevant units to prepare necessary procedures.

It is known that 355 BMV cars imported by Euro Auto Corp still at VICT, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The amount of the above car related to the smuggling case prosecuted by the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department under the General Department of Customs on 20 December 2016. Previously, 30 November 2016, the Ministry of Finance sent Official letter 17041/BTC-VP to the General Department of Customs on prevention of smuggling and trade fraud in importing car.

The Ministry of Finance stated that through the management, audit and inspection on preventing and fighting against smuggling and trade fraud of CBU car imports of the Euro Auto Corp, it identified 3 violations.

These were: the company sold goods (BMV cars) when they were not cleared by the Customs during waiting for completing Customs procedures as per regulations; The company did not provide the C/O and documents, dossiers of imported BMV cars and had sign of tricking customer; the company used false documents such as the sale contract, invoice and etc to import BMV cars.
