3 commodity groups with export turnover of US$ billion in the second half of month

In which, export turnover of mobile phones was US$ 2.375 billion, of textiles and garments was US$ 1.575 billion; computer, electronic products and parts was US$ 1.504 billion.
Hence, export turnover of 3 commodity groups accounted for 46.2% of total export turnover of the country in the second half of July 2018.
Especially, export turnover of telephones in the second half of July was higher than the total export turnover of many major agricultural products in the first half of July, such as vegetable and fruit, cashew nuts, coffee, and rice.
Notably, export turnover of mobile phones and computers significantly increased.
Specifically, in the second half of July, export turnover of mobile phones and accessories increased by 65.4%, equivalent to US$ 930 million compared to the first half of July; Computers, electronic products and parts increased by 60.7%, equivalent to US$ 568 million.
Although without official information, export turnover of mobile phones and computer may surge in the second half of July relating to the official launching of a new product, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 by Samsung Group on 9th August 2018.
Galaxy Note 9, which is Samsung's high-end phone, is considered a competitor with the latest models of the Iphone.
Meanwhile, the world's largest mobile phone manufacturers, Samsung, are located in Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen province.
At factories in Vietnam, Samsung's most fashionable mobile phones and tablets are manufactured and exported all over the world.

As a result, in July 2018, the 3 largest export commodities maintained the "billion dollars" turnover at double digit
Of which, export turnover of mobile phones and accessories nearly reached US$ 26.5% billion (as of the end of July), textiles and garments was US$ 16.52 billion; computers and electronic products was US$ 15.94 billion.
Notably, the US and South Korea are the two markets where the 3 major commodity groups for the country have an export turnover of US$ 1 billion or more.
In the US, export turnover of textiles and garments reached US$ 7.689 billion, mobile phones reached US$ 2.743 billion, and computers reached US$ 1.54 billion. Of which, the US was the largest export market of the Textiles and Garments sector.
In South Korea, export turnover of mobile phones reached US$ 2.628 billion, computers reached US$ 1.547 billion, textiles and garments reached US$ 1.566 billion.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong was the "billion dollars" market with an export turnover of mobile phones reaching US$ 1.09 billion, and computers reaching US$ 1.233 billion.
China was the largest export market for computer turnover reaching US$ 4,334 billion and mobile phones reaching US$ 2.855 billion.

Export turnover of mobile phones reached from US$ 1 billion or more in the major markets in Europe and Asia, such as the UK reaching US$ 1.224 billion, Austria reaching US$ 2.248 billion, Germany reaching US $ 1.173 billion, and the United Arab Emirates US $ 2.452 billion
The remaining “billion dollars" market for Garments and Textiles was Japan, with a turnover of US$ 2.047 billion, and the “billion dollars" market for computers was the Netherlands, with a turnover of US$ 1.22 billion.
Thus, mobile phones were relatively equally exported to 3 major continents, including Asia, Europe and America.
Meanwhile, textiles and computers were mainly exported to the major markets in Asia and America.
