Vietnam to cooperate with Japan to prepare for Emperor’s visit

Vietnam will cooperate with Japan to make careful preparation for a successful visit of the Japanese Emperor and Empress to Vietnam, contributing to bilateral ties and to peace, cooperation and development of the region and the world, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh made the statement on September 14 in reply to reporters’ question regarding Japan’s announcement early the same day that the Japanese Emperor and Empress are likely to pay a visit to Vietnam in the spring of 2017.

“Vietnam welcomes Japan’s consideration of arrangement for the State-level visit of the Emperor and Empress to Vietnam next spring,” he said.
