Highlights 1. According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in December 2020, a 11.3% upwards in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded as compared to the result of November 2020. Exports went up 9.6 %, to USD 27.65 billion and imports increased 13%, to USD 27.90billion in terms of month-on- month basis. As a result, there was a USD 252 million deficit in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

​The Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the second half (16-30/11/2020) of November-2020 , Vietnam’s total exports of US dollars 13.4 billion and imports of US dollars 12.7 billion resulted in a trade surplus of US dollars 691 million. Accordingly, the total value of export and import turnover of Vietnam in the second half of November was US dollars 26.1 billion, up by 12.8% as compared to the first half of this month.

According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in November 2020, a 3.2% downwards in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded as compared to the result of October 2020. Exports went down 7.4 %, to USD 25.24 billion and imports increased 1.5%, to USD 24.69billion in terms of month-on- month basis. Vietnam’s trade balance in this month was still in surplus of USD 546 million.

As a result, there was a USD 2.94 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

Accordingly, the total value of export and import turnover of Vietnam in the first half of November was US dollars 23.15 billion, down by 13.8% as compared to the second half of October-2020.

According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in September of 2020, an 1.9% upwards in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded as compared to the result of August 2020. Exports went down 1.9 %, to USD 27.16 billion and imports increased 6.5%, to USD 24.2billion in terms of month-on- month basis. As a result, there was a USD 2.96 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

As a result, there was a USD 4.99 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

The Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the second half of September, 2019 the total Vietnam’s exports of US dollars 12.71 billion and imports of nearly US dollars 11.36 billion resulted in a trade surplus of US dollars 1.35 billion. Accordingly, the total value of export and import turnover of Vietnam in the second half of September was US dollars 24.07 billion, up by 16.2% as compared to the first half of September-2019. Furthermore, in the first 9 months of 2019, Vietnam was in a trade surplus of USD 7.15 billion.

Exports went down 9.8 %, to USD 23.36 billion and imports shrunk 3.1%, to USD 21.75 billion as compared to the result of August 2019. As a result, there was a USD 1.61 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

Highlights 1. According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in August 2019, a 5.3% upturns in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded on a month-on-month basis. Exports went up 12.6 %, to USD 25.89 billion and imports shrunk 2.1%, to USD 22.45 billion as compared to the result of July 2019. As a result, there was a USD 3.44 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.
