VCN- 2016 Online Friday is estimated to attract over 3,000 participating enterprises, providing 200,000 promotional products with a total revenue expected to exceed 1,000 billion vnd.

The BigOFF event will be held in the walking space around Hoan Kiem lake Hanoi for the first time, from 1 to 4 December 2016.

According to the organizer’s information, 2016 Online Friday takes place on the first Friday of December, ie 2nd December.

Compared to 2015, the scale and number of participating enterprises, promotional programs and revenues on Online Friday this year are expected to be bigger.

Accordingly, the program is expected to attract more than 3,000 enterprises to participate with around 200,000 promotional products with total sales transaction of 1 trillion vnd, 2 times bigger than in 2015, and 6 times bigger than the first time in 2014. There will be more than 5,000 promotional products guaranteed by the organizers, equivalent to over 50,000 guaranteed orders.

Warranty products will come from the group of enterprises which have committed to the organizers, including manufacturers such as Samsung, Asus, Acer, Dell, HP, Oppo, Microsoft, Huawei; reputable importers of fashion like Maison, Hoang Phuc International; large e-commerce enterprises like Lazada, Adayroi, Tili, Sendo, Hotdeal, Zalora.

The highlight of the activities in Online Friday is that the first BigOFF event held in the walking space around Hoan Kiem lake, Ha Noi from 1 to 4 December. In the 4 days, the BigOff Oneline Friday event is ecpected to have participations of 25 outstanding enterprises with promotions and unique technology experiences with more than 30,000 people taking part.

Beside promotional programs in the first event such as free shipping, sell-outs, golden hour promotions, gifts, customers can compare prices, review businesses’ promotions, exchange and reflect on the case that they are not satisfied via price comparison websites.

Online Friday is held to raise awareness and boost shopping activities of the community via shopping online; create opportunities for customers to use quality products at discount prices.

The e-Commerce and Information Technology Agency (the Ministry of Industry and Trade) hosts the program. After 3 years, 2016 Online Friday is expected to bring the biggest shopping day not only in the year but also in 3 years of organizing to customers with many commitments of the organizers, enterprises on quality promotion, saying no to virtual promotional products, fake and low quality products.

The first online shopping day was in December 2014, with 1,000 enterprises. The companies recorded 160,000 orders, 3.2 times higher than usual. The sale of the day was at 154 billion vnd (equivalent to $US 7.5 million), rose 2.5 times compared to normal sales. The best seller was technology, fashion, and household products, accounting for over 80% of the total orders.

In 2015, more than 2,000 enterprises took part in Online Friday, with 63,000 products, promotional services, and total revenue 500 billion vnd, increased 3 times compared to 2014.
