VCN- According to Sai Gon NewPort Cooperation, during the New Year holiday (from 30th December 2017 to 1st January 2018), it still arranges officials and employees to normally work at Cat Lai NewPort and Hiep Phuoc NewPort) and will exempt storage fees for all import and export goods.

Accordingly, during the New Year holiday, Sai Gon New Port Corporation will still receive ships, load and discharge goods from ships, store goods at container yards for loading to ships, and lift empty containers as usual.

Units in ports will still work normally and Customs supervision units will be on duty to handle procedures for businesses and shipping lines.

According to the leader of Sai Gon New Port Corporation, in order to assist shipping lines, shipping agents and businesses during the New Year holiday, besides exemption from storage time under the contract, the Corporation will exempt the storage fee for all cargo and containers of businesses.

Especially, the objects to be exempted from storage fee are containers containing imported goods by ships. The ports are subject to storage fee exemption including Cat Lai NewPort and Hiep Phuoc NewPort.
