Need to remove problems and support quality improvement

According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam's industrial production has recovered and received many positive signals even though it has not really had a breakthrough. The General Statistics Office commented that thanks to manufacturing enterprises' efforts to find orders to complete the year's production and business plans as well as prepare goods to serve consumption at the end of the year, industrial production will continue in November with the positive trend. Furthermore, Vietnam can also benefit from multinational corporations shifting production.

Speaking more about this issue, Mr. Dao Phan Long, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Enterprises, said that industrialized countries continue to promote strategies to diversify sources of supply and diversify supply chains... This will help Vietnam become an important production and export center in the global value chain.

According to businesses, many policies to remove difficulties for production and business enterprises continue to be actively and synchronously implemented, thus supporting businesses to promote production and business. In the past 11 months, over VND 172,000 billion in taxes, fees, and land use fees have been exempted, reduced, or extended, of which about VND 65,000 billion has been exempted or reduced. This is the driving force for the business situation to improve even more.

However, businesses and experts also raised many concerns. The representative of SKD Vietnam Mechanical Company said that the global economy in 2024 still has many challenges and unpredictable, Vietnam's economy is highly open so it is very susceptible to negative impacts. Therefore, this person said that businesses need more support to improve their resilience as well as enhancing connectivity and removing difficulties in administrative procedures for businesses.

Mr. Nguyen Van, Vice Chairman of HANSIBA also acknowledged that businesses in the association still face many difficulties in capital, financial capacity while the supporting industry and mechanical engineering sectors need large investments in capital but long capital recovery period. Therefore, representatives of Hanoi supporting industry enterprises suggested increasing access to capital as well as adding more connection solutions for businesses to participate more smoothly in the global value chain.

According to Mr. Onaga Masaru, President of Onaga Company, the company tries to be able to do the steps in supplying Boeing, from simple to more complex, but needs to have AS9100 "Management System" certification about quality of the aviation industry". This is one of the essential certifications for domestic and foreign supporting businesses that intend to participate in the global aerospace supply chain and of corporations such as Boeing. Therefore, supporting industry enterprises expressed their desire to receive support to achieve this certification from infrastructure investment to human resources...
