The Sultan of Brunei is on a State visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Party leader and President Trong from March 26-28.

Since the establishment of Vietnam- Brunei diplomatic ties on February 29, 1992, both nations have maintained regular exchange visits and high-ranking meetings.

This is the Sultan’s second official visit to Vietnam in just over two decades. It aims to strengthen the bilateral friendship and multilateral cooperation towards celebrations for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties coming up in 2022.
