15 agricultural products of nine subjects of three provinces of Lang Son, Thanh Hoas and Hai Duong are promoted in the livestream.

TikTok Vietnam and the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) have just organized the OCOP 4.0 fair, putting agricultural products of Lang Son province on the e-commerce platform. Notably, this is also the first time, OCOP products have been displayed and introduced at the stalls of the agricultural fair and livestreamed to promote products on the TikTok platform for the first time.

This is one of the programs to promote digital transformation, boost the consumption of OCOP products across the country, thereby, creating motivation for OCOP subjects to expand production scale and improve product quality because when the production line has met the demand for quantity and quality, business households will quickly enhance their competitiveness, expand markets, increase revenue and improve the lives of rural people.

According to the goal of the National Target Program for New Rural Development for 2021-2025, TikTok - a strategic partner has constantly launched new initiatives to promote rural trade, create driving force for agricultural restructuring associated with the development of enhanced new rural areas and model new-style rural areas.

Earlier, in April, TikTok and the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion officially signed a cooperation agreement to improve the digital transformation capacity of subjects that their products are certified by the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program on the e-commerce platform, and connect to create advantages and favorable conditions for the development of agricultural product consumption in Vietnam.

Within the framework of this cooperation, TikTok will launch a series of OCOP fair. Accordingly, the OCOP fair will be implemented livestream weekly on TikTok Shop, which is an opportunity to promote and sell online products - local specialties produced by local small and medium-sized enterprises. Through this project, TikTok aims to improve the lives of 20,000 local farmers and people from craft villages and small-sized businesses across 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam, contributing to preserve local traditional culture and promote tourism across the regions.

On August 26 alone, 32 livestreams of OCOP Fair were implemented, attracting 552,000 views and earning revenue of VND340million. At the OCOP 4.0 Fair, 12 livestreams were conducted. Lang Son Custard apple and local specialties were introduced to the public.

The products promoted in the livestream came from nine subjects of three provinces: Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong with about 15 agricultural products. Many prominent content creators on Tik Tok platform also accompanied with subjects during the livestreams such as Tho Agricultural, Thao Nguyen Farmer, Kieu Chinh Tea, Toan in Thai Nguyen, Northwest Agricultural Products, Binh Sam, An Sap Thai Nguyen, agricultural products and medicinal herbs…

Trinh Duc Trong - Director of Thao Ngoc Viet Company (Thanh Hoa) said that online marketing and e-commerce become an inevitable development trend that any company or cooperative should pay attention. Earlier, his company faced many difficulties in doing e-commerce on TikTok Shop due to the lack of acknowledge and skills in this field.

“Participating in the OCOP 4.0 Fair, I felt extremely happy because I had the opportunity to witness KOC (Key Opinion Consumer) implemented livestreams and learn about e-commerce, and the company received orders. I am very happy when I brought our products from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi and attracted by consumers. This is a positive signal for us to make more efforts in the near future. Certainly, after returning, our company will invest time, human and capital to master the e-commerce for our products," said by Director of Thao Ngoc Viet Company.
