Nghe An Customs coordinates to seize large amount of narcotics

VCN – The anti-drugs enforcement unit of Nghe An Customs Department worked with Ky Son district police to arrest two people while they were transporting three heroin bricks, 5kg of meth and 6,000 synthetic drug tablets.

At 10:00 AM on April 10, at Huoi Thang village, Huoi Tu commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, the working group arrested two subjects, namelyLau Giong Long (born in 1972) and Ho Y Co (born in 1975), both living in Huoi Thang village, Huoi Tu commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An ashusband and wife.

The couple objected very strongly when they noticed that they were surrounded and ran up to the dangerous hills and mountains in order to escape.

Through inspection, the working group seized two bricks of heroin and 6,000 synthetic narcotics tablets. Then, the force searched the private house of Lau Giong Long anddetected a black backpack containing one bar of heroin and 5 kg of meth hidden in the bedroom.

At the investigating agency, the subjects claimed that they are married and the wife is Laotian. They regularly bought narcotics from Laos and brought them to Vietnam for consumption.

The case is being investigated extensively.
