A consultation workshop was held in Hanoi on Friday to review the National Strategy on Environmental Protection until 2020 and map out a strategy for 2021-2030.

Presentations at the workshop discussed the prevention and control of environmental pollution, along with the sustainable exploitation and use of natural resources and conservation of nature and biopersity.
Vo Tuan Nhan, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment said “Society, the economy, and the environment are the three major pillars of sustainable development. We need to mobilize more resources and call on enterprises and the public to create a breakthrough in environmental protection.”
Vietnam is a member of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, pledging to reduce 8% of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
