More than 100 shipments undelivered at Tan Son Nhat airport

VCN- According to the Customs branch of Tan Son Nhat national airport, during the review and check for undelivered goods procedure, the unit discovered that there were more than 100 international shipmentsyet to be collected.

Packages imported intoTan Son Nhatairportsince early 2016 are being kept in the import warehouse of Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services Co. Ltd (TCS), add: 46/48 HauGiang – Ward4 – Tan Binh District – HCM City.

Almost all the cargo is for groups and individuals with specific addresses, but without collection; some of the cargos are left forgotten.

To handle this cargo, Customs branch of Tan Son Nhat international airport had notified the owners and the deliverers. Within 60 days ofnotification, if the deliverer of the cargo collects the cargo, he/she will undergo Customs procedures and pay a penalty according to the legal provisions on administrative violations and will bear the cost incurred by the delivery delay.

After 60 days fromnotificationand no collection, the undelivered goods will be confiscated and destroyedby the Customs Office underregulations in Circulars 203/2014/TT-BTC 12-22-2014 issued by the Ministry of Finance.
