An official welcome ceremony for Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen was hosted by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc with full honours on December 20 at Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

PM Hun Sen is on a two-day visit to Vietnam December 20-21 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

This is the second visit to Vietnam since Mr Hun Sen was re-appointed as Prime Minister in 2013.

PM Phuc hosted an official welcome ceremony for the Cambodian counterpart.

The visit takes place amid the growing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The two PMs inspect the guard of honour.

After the welcome ceremony, the two government leaders hold talks on measures to boost friendship and all-around cooperation.

Vietnam is currently the third biggest trade partner of Cambodia with two-way trade hitting US$3.37 billion in 2015.

Vietnam is the fifth largest investor in Cambodia with 183 projects totally capitalized at US$2.86 billion.

The two PMs witness the signing of three cooperation deals between the two nations.
