Imported automobiles increased by 2,602 units in the first half of January, 2017

According to the latest information from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first half of January, 2017, the country imported 4,914 CBU cars of all kinds with total turnover of nearly $US 116 million
Of which, CBU cars with less than 9 seats dominated with 3,701 units and total turnover of $US 78.13 million.
Thus, in comparison with the same period in 2016, the total volume of CBU cars in the first half of January, 2017 increased by 2,602 units with total turnover of $US 58.5 million.
Remarkably, Imported CBU cars with less than 9 seats increased sharply close to 2,499 units with total turnover of $US 52,13 million
However, accounting on the average price (excluding taxes), the price of imported car with less than 9 seats in the first half of January 2016 was higher than the first half of January 2017 (the average price of the first half of January 2016 was $US 26,630 per unit, while in 2017, the price is $US 21,108 per unit).

Regarding automobile imports, the country paid more than $US 2,335 billion to import 113,567 CBU automobiles of all kinds, decreasing by 9.5% in number and 21.7% in value compared to 2015.
