HCM City Tax Department: Propose to revoke license of enterprise owing 22 billion VND of tax debt

This measure was proposed by the HCM City Tax Department for applying to Meinhardt Vietnam construction consultancy Co., Ltd., due to owing debt, penalty and fines of late payment up to more than 22 billion VND.
Earlier, the HCM City Tax Department has issued three documents to suspend the use of invoices for Meinhardt Vietnam construction consultancy Co., Ltd., but the company still fails to fulfill tax obligations to the state.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nam Binh, Deputy Director of HCM City Tax Department, dealing with the situation of some enterprises that intentionally delay to pay tax debt, HCM City Tax Department has applied many coercive measures, including measures of revoking business registration certificate; announcement about invoice is invalid for use ... At the same time, disclosure of information on the mass media.
Besides the case of Meinhardt Vietnam construction consultancy Co., Ltd., the HCM City Tax Department will continue proposing for enforcement by applying the measure of revoking certificates and business licenses for some enterprises that intentionally delay to pay tax debts for many years.
It is known that Meinhardt Vietnam construction consultancy Co., Ltd., is a unit in partnership that was selected as consultant to monitor the implementation of BT contract (Built and Transfer Contract), anti-flood project for Ho Chi Minh City with total value of 10,000 billion VND.
