HCM City: Announce list of enterprises owing nearly 300 billion VND of tax debt

According to HCM City Tax Department, those enterprises have intentionally delayed in paying tax to State Budget although Tax authorities have continuously applied measures for tax recovery.
Among the 333 enterprises that are publicized this time, there are over 30 enterprises owing tax debts of 1 billion VND and over.
In that, there are many enterprises that have owed large amounts of tax debt such as: Southern Industrial Development Co., (SIDC) owes over 35.7 billion VND; Cotec Investment and Construction JSC owes over 29.1 billion VND; Van Phat Hung Co. Ltd., owes over 35 billion VND,…
According to Mr. Le Duy Minh, Deputy Director of HCM City Tax Department, the coercive measures which are mainly being applied to enterprises owing tax debts at present are: suggesting to revoke business registration certificate; informing the enterprises about their invoices are no longer valid to use; levy on bank account; attachment for auction.
This is the third time in 2018 that HCM City Tax Department has publicized the list of enterprises owing tax debts. Previously, HCM City Tax Department also announced a list of nearly 2,000 enterprises that owed tax debts.
