Hanoi Customs: Import – export turnover increases by 21%

Specifically, customs declarations at units under Hanoi Customs Department in the first quarter of 2021 reached more than 243,300 papers, increasing by 8.7% over the same period in 2020. The import-export turnover achieved $11.79 billion, equivalent to an increase of 21% over the same period last year.
The growth index is not shown just in declarations and turnover but also in the revenue collection. According to the result in the first quarter of 2021, Hanoi Customs Department collected VND5,290 billion, equalling 23% of current appropriation, equivalent to 127.4% over the same period in 2020.
In Hanoi, revenue collection reached VND 4,047 billion, equivalent to 21.8% of current appropriation, equalling 125.7% over the same period in 2020.
According to Hanoi Customs Department, through deploying tax management, right at the begining of 2020, the unit has assigned target of revenue collection, striving target to its customs branches.
Implementing Directives No.215/CT-TCHQ dated January 15,2021 of the Director General of Vietnam Customs on the synchronous and dratical implementation of trade facilitation measures, improve state management capacity, revenue loss prevention in the implementation of revenue collection task in 2021.
