VCN – As discussion with Customs News reporter, head of Anti-drug enforcement unit (Ha Tinh Customs Department) Le Minh Duc said that the unit has presided over and collaborated with Ha Tinh Border Defense Force; Police, Cau Treo Customs Branch, and Cau Treo Border Post to seize a man while was transporting 10kg of ice and 20,000 tablets of ecstasy.

At 3:30PM on 14/10, at the area of Cau Tre border gate, the working group arrested Xong Dua Dong (was born in 1984, from Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province; lives in Nong Pang Village, Kham Ca District, Bolikhamxay Province, Laos) about the act of transporting illegally narcotics when he was "cutting forest" to transport drug via Cau Treo international border gate. Through physical inspection, the working group seized two backpacks which contained inside 10 kg of ice and 20,000 tablets of ecstasy.

Mr. Le Minh Duc also revealed that this man is a major project which established by Ha Tinh Customs Department and Border Defense Force. Through the struggle, initially, the man claimed that he accepted to transport the drug from the area of side gate in the left by Xong Xo Xieng to the Tay Son town.

Currently, the subject and exhibits are handed over to the investigation agency for further investigation and clarification.
